The CCFRC is also in the process of investigating how it might purchase homes in foreclosure, to rehabilitate them and offer them for resale to Clayton County residents. Several options are on the table, and once program details are secured, the CCFRC will announce its program offerings for Clayton County citizens via this Web site and other means of public outreach and education.

Potential funding sources for the purchase of homes in foreclosure include the Housing Authority of Clayton County, which is the lead agency of the CCFRC, and HUD's Community Development Block Grant Program, via appropriations from the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (HERA), which facilitated the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).
