Dedicated Foreclosure Counseling Hot Line for Clayton County Residents

The first order of business, following the announcement of the forming of the Clayton County Foreclosure Resource Center (CCFRC), was to obtain a dedicated hotline for homeowners to call to receive free foreclosure assistance, including answers to questions, options potentially available to them, or referrals to counseling agencies.

The CCFRC hotline is (404) 260-3149, and its features include:

• Providing an initial point of entry for holistic assessment of homeowner situation.
• Offering a nonbiased, supportive information source.
• Working with homeowners to develop an action plan, and to follow-up as needed.
• Staffing it with certified credit counselors (speaking English and Spanish), available 24x7, from the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Atlanta – a CCFRC partner.
